To resolve power supply issue, follow these steps respectively:1) Turn PS4 off completely
Turn off the PS4 by pressing the power button for at least 7 seconds and wait for the system to beep twice.2) Disconnect PS4 AC power cord from electrical outlet
Be careful in disconnecting the power cable from electricity outlet, because if you take the cable out when the system is on or the power light is blinking, you may loss the data and putting your system at risk, so take the AC power cord out after a complete shutdown.3) Check parts A, E, and F for any conspicuous damage or anomalies
Use the power cord from PS3 to check whether it works or not. Also check all the parts listed down.
Hard Drive Troubleshooting
When you experience hard drive troubleshooting, follows these steps to resolve the issue.1) Turn PS4 off completely
Turn off the PS4 by pressing the power button for at least 7 seconds and wait for the system to beep twice.2) Disconnect PS4 AC power cord from electrical outlet
Be careful in disconnecting the power cable from electricity outlet, because if you take the cable out when the system is on or the power light is blinking, you may loss the data and putting your system at risk, so take the AC power cord out after a complete shutdown.3) Once you have removed the AC power cable from electricity, separate all the other cables also from PS4.
4) Slide the HDD bay cover as illustrated.
5) Check the hard drive whether it is properly placed or not, if a hard drive is not properly fixed then it resists the system to start, also check the screw to tight the hard drive.
6) In case your hard drive is damaged and is not useable then replace your PS4 hard drive, for further help about hard drive read this article, there are also some standards for hard drive like its thickness should be 9.5 and its size should be more then 160 GB.
- Users can choose to install a new hard drive so long as it complies with these standards, it is no thicker than 9.5mm, and is larger than 160GB.
